Default need help identifying this part!

ok tonight installing th IM, i accidenlty broke this piece..it seemed to be a ball kind of thing?



its the black thing on toop of the IM

By the way this is an obd1 gsr

that looks like a map sensor. If you can't fix it.. try to take it off from a civic? they are hella expensive brand newf rom the dealer.. so dont bother with that

does the map sensor have this kinda weird ball thing that moves?? it snapped off flush with the sensor part.

I believe he's talking about the one above the map sensor the one on the intake manifold. I know what sensor your talking about it's on the tip off my tounge, that sensor has a vacum line to the evap canister. Wait I believe thats the evap purge valve.

it the evap purge you do not have to have in order for your car to run and it will not effect any type of performance either. you will be ok

can anyone else confirm that its the evap purge? since i have heard a couple people say its the pcv??

no, the PCV valve on GS-R's fits into a black box way down underneath the intake manifold.

Are you talking about #6 & #8? That's the EVAP control solenoid. The nozzle sticking up is a vent, it's supposed to be open to the air. The cap is there so you don't drop crud into it.

Thats definitely the evap purge control. I haven't had one on my car for about 4 years. No check light, no problems. You'll be fine.
