I was wondering I bought some del sol shocks and skunk 2 coilovers and my brother told me that you need a cover to the thing that goes up and down. But mine does not have them. Is this right, or does it even matter? Please help me out. Thanx!

Those coilovers in the ebay site are the ones I got, and the silver thing is the shock part that im talking about.

 

don't worry about covering it. On oem shocks they use a dust cover to protect the shock for 100k+ miles. But if you care enough about the car to change the shocks in the first place then you shouldn't have anything to wory about
