Hey guys I had some gumout car+ choke cleaner. I was having trouble starting and I was told that this would help if I sprayed it in the throttle body.

Anyway I was spraying it in there and it seemed like the car was about to stall but it was okay. I played with the throttle cable a bit to work it and then i let the car idle for acouple minutes. After a while an unusual amount of smoke was coming out of the exhaust. It was pretty thick similar to the video when the guy used seafoam on his car. I was wondering if this is normal when using this product and if it's messing something up?

ya the smoke is your engine burning the carbon build up the same as sea foam does

 

Does anyone know how much of the gum out i should use? I purchased a big spray can. it's probably the same size as one of those aerosol air fresheners for when you take a dump. Oh yeah and is there a proper way that I should be doing it? Because i only sprayed it a couple sprays since I didn't know how much I needed. There was a write-up in some nissan forum and the guy was talking about he used the entire can, but.... that seems overboard.
