Default mini swap vtec no worky

i have an 88 crx si with a z6 head on it. i have a y8 head gasket and my car runs well. well i have a apexi vafc and everything reads. my vtec doesn't work though. i checked the volts coming from the pink wire i ran to the vtec and it has 12 volts coming out of it at idle. i have vtec set at 4800k. i have no idea whats going on. if someone can help me i would thank u very much. o yea with the 12v always coming out of wire that mean vtec is always on right? some on help me.

I thought I read some where that when doing a mini-me swap you have to
pull a plug that is between the #2 and #3 cyl to let more oil in to the vtec head
I have never done this swap but have done alot of research

if you have 12v going to the vtec sensor constantly then it is going to be trying to push the lobes the entire time... and those lobes dont like to kick on with low oil pressure.

There is a search button...I'm pretty sure out of how many million posts here on H-T it is covered somewhere...

Be a ****** gangsta and run a damn toggle switch to it

or get a ps9 chip it and run turbo edit and throw that piece of **** afc controller away...OR sell that POS afc and get a ******* $59 obd0->1 harness and a p28.

Check to see if the voltage changes from idle to WOT (use a voltmeter, multimeter,e tc)

are there any other wires you have left over?
