Hey guys, I'm lookin for a new exhaust for my GSR. I want something thats not gonna get me pulled over all the time for being so loud but something that when i do decide to punch it can let people know i'm coming. Let me know what you recomend. thanks

 

Mugen, RS*R(not skunk2 stuff), Comptech, Apexi WS, ITR muffler.

RS*R prolly won't be loud enough for you though.

get the new skunk2 rsr exhuast, its not that loud, but loud when you want it to be, it also comes with a silencer you can put in.

 

search first -- i love my dc sports, pretty conservative

 

how do the comptechs sound? i heard that supposedly they are one of the quietest catbacks...is that true?

 

Buddy, you'll get pulled over regardless. Just make sure you have the paperwork to show that it's legal. Cops don't even like the sight of an aftermarket exhaust.

It's not real quiet, but not extremely loud. It definately doesn't sound like a weed-whacker. It is deep, throaty and very cool sounding. If you don't punch the gas and shift below 4,000 rpms, you can barely notice it. But WOT to redline and it sounds great.

I was pulled over for speeding a week ago (nothing too serious) and the officer ended up just writing me an ordinance violation for not having my front plate on. He didn't mention the exhaust at all.

my apex'i WS looks pretty stealthy and sounds stealthy too...not too noticeable by cops, i painted the muffler flat black and masked off the tip when i did it.
