ok so i picked up a 1991 SI hatch from my buddy.. it came w/ a b16a swap in it but there were some issues i had to take care of w/ it.. it originally had the wrong axles and half shaft in it.. the map sensor wasn't wired.. basically a mickey mouse set up.. so i finally get all that fixed got the thing to start up after it not being able to and what do you know.. i run into another problem..
sorry for the short story, but the problem consists of my not being able to put my car into gear. when the car is off i can put it into gear no problem at all.. when i start the car out of gear i can't get into gear very easily unless i really force it. when i start the car w/ it in gear i can freely put it in and out of gear for a short while (approx 30 seconds) then it goes back to me not being able to put it in gear again w/out forcing it.

one thing i did notice is my clutch cable is adjusted really high.. so i took it off and reinstalled it.. where i put the cable into the tranny then bolted the plate down, and there still is about only half and inch of play when being able to adjust the clutch engagement point.. i remember my old integra i was able to pull the cable w/ ease and adjust it no problem.. this one has no play at all.. any ideas on this?

check your tranny fluid level make sure that you have enough, other than that off the top of my head, I can't think of anything.

 

my fluid in the tranny is pretty full.. i should know cuz some leaked out when changing my axles
