What engine are you running? 4 puck should do the job find, from what I've learned 6 puck is almost overkill. NOS doesn't matter, just learn to let clutch out fast enough so you're not engaging while shooting up...

The 6-puck is hard on the synchors and tranny overall. There's no need to use the 6-puck with your application.

I thought the fewer the # of pucks, the more agressive since there's less area for the same amount of pressure? I would think that 6 would be enough, 4 would be overkill. or am I backwards...?

I hate my 6 puck... But I've never driven with a 4 puck..
only the 6 puck and the stock clutch.....

It chatters BAD

I was almost certain it was the other way around too. But when in Rome.

4-puck is more harsh than a 6-puck.

Yea 4 puck will chatter more then a 6 puck and is better for all motor high rpm shifting because it has less rotational mass. I would just go with the 6-puck. Oh also what pressure plate did you get the heavy duty or Xtreme?

4 puck is a tranny killer. it out lasted 4 of my D16A trannies in my old rex. before i switch to a stock clutch the act blew my differential out. it grabs hard though.

A bigger clutch will wear your tranny out faster. You may even break an axle or two with one if you race it a lot. With NOS, you want to make sure you are not squeezing while you shift. I wouldn't power shift while you are squeezing with any clutch, stock or aftermarket. I am not sure how you have your NOS kit set up. Mine was on the horn, so I could let off between gears for a fraction of a second. Also, a key to bigger clutches is not to downshift hard. Meaning, don't be doing 70 on the freeway and shove the car into third as you dump the clutch. That will TOAST your gears in a hurry.
