I want VTEC!!!
I was wondering something. I want to keep my stock block in my CRX, but can I match up the head from a 92-95 VTEC sohc motor?? I know this has probably has been asked a million times, but for some reason my brain can't seem to get the search down. Thanks for your input.
Also, is there a VTEC dohc head that will fit?? Thanks for in the input.

been covered a billion times... search for mini-me.
You're basically going to want to put either a japenese D15B head (from a JDM 92-96 VTi), or a D16Z6 head from an american 92-95 Si or EX. You can use other D series heads... but those 2 will give you the best results for the least amount of headaches. An OBD2 D16Y8 from an american 96-00 EX will also work. You'll have to do the OBD conversion (although not completely necessary) for the best output, and also do a MPFI conversion depending on your CRX model (Si will not have to).
I searched for ya:

That was done on an already OBD1 92-95 Civic LX (D15B7?)... but the principal is exactly the same. You just have to worry about getting a conversion harness to make the ECU work (you'll want to use the ECU for the head because of the VTEC fuel maps and the VTEC engage built in). You can get around the OBD conversion by using a non-OBD dizzy and injectors and an RPM activated VTEC controller... but from what I've heard it doesn't pull as hard a when you have the OEM ECU doing the work.
If you get through the pain of the conversion... you'll be much happier in the end.
