Default Going Backwards. High Flow cat or resonator?

Well, i'm starting to get annoyed by the 4-1 header, no cat, and 2.5" piping. Which would be better for the quieting purposes, a high flow cat or a resonator somewhere in between? Also, anyone recommend a good resonator or cat?
