Kandy Kolor paint DISCONTINUED?
Hi, I wanted to know if anyone knew anything about The House of Kolor Kandy Paints, and if they discontinued manufacturing them. I have a Kandy Blue car, so I can never fix or repaint parts if it is. Does anyone know a body shop that still carries them?
Thats what I mean.. you cant just re-paint a fender....
Oh well...good luck bro... That paint is not found around here too often. (I had Kandy Brandywine on a lowrider...)

When painting a vehicle, you should allways buy a extra pint-gallon of paint.
Yes it is expensive, but you wouldn't run into these problems.

i am painting my CRX with kandy right now and it will take about 5 layers of kandy on top of base and then 3 or 4 layers of clear. for getting one layer of kandy and the car will not match of if you do not put the same amount on the car all the way around it will not match. So you can not just touch up kandy.

You can have it matched close enought that no one can tell, even with candy.
Every paint manufacturer is making their own version of Candy now, i personally like PPG's, looks better than house of colors and uses better materials.
House of color makes junk urethane paint IMO... we painted a 64 impala for a nfl guy... yea i know.. brandywine over 24kt gold metallic... their base and candy coats sucked asshola, we ended up using ppg 2001 clear.
You can get it done for alot less now too... the new versions use a 3 step process but its a base/pearl type/ clear.
Good luck on getting a matching color... any good paint store can match it tho.

I'm pretty sure they still make HOK. Blending kandies is almost impossible, but I have heard that it is possible(if you're a good painter). If you plan on repainting the whole car, I recommend HOK's kandybasecoats overtop of their silver sealer. It's a lot cheaper than the other kandies.
