Transmission won't shift into overdrive
I have a '94 Accord w/ about 150k, and during a trip this weekend of all highway driving in nice weather (low 50s), and when going a steady 70mph, the engine revs at about 3000 rpm. Is this normal? Occasionally when going a little over 70, I'll hear the transmission shift and it will go down to about 26-2700 rpm, which seems more normal. It seems as if overdrive is failing to kick-in. Or, is this normal. Maybe I just never noticed before, but I've been taking mroe highway trips recently. Otherwise, the transmission shifts just fine.
I need to take the car in this weekend for routine maintenance, so before I do, I'd like to have a few things narrowed down, if this is indeed a problem.
Thanks for any advice.

The D4 light is on. Not unlit or blinking. I was, like you, thinking that since the weather was warmer this weekend, that may have been it. But, it still continues. Hmmmm. This is certainly a weird one.
