Keeping the exhuast quiet
Ok so i'm getting a full exhuast system...i have a holley 4-2-1 and i'm looking at a bosal cat back. I'm wanting to keep it quiet, and i read something about a resonator keeping it quiet. Is this in the catalytic converter? I want to have a good quiet but deep sound. My cat back doesnt say anything about a resonator, nor does the catalytic converter i'm looking at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...84761
Here's a link to the cat back: http://www.sfxperformance.com/parts/BRO112309.htm
I suppose i can use the stock catalytic converter to keep my sound nice, but i'm wondering if that'll choke my exhaust too.

ok first off if you want to keep your exhaust quiet a high flow cat is the wrong way to go, this will make you exhaust a lot louder and you will start to lose gas milage for maybe 1-2 hp. to answer your question about resonators i think that magnaflow makes some if you want to add it to your exhaust, it would quiet it down.
this is what a resonator looks like:

so where does this go? I emailed the guy who makes that cat and he said it wont effect the sound, as long as i havent installed a muffler
The resonator is located on the B pipe\ or midpipe. so your header, cat, then your(example) 2.25'' piping will make its way to the muffler. a resonator could go anywhere after the cat and before the muffler.good luck.
