Default Fog Light wiring help

i went to get my car inspected today and they would not pass it. They wouldn't pass it because my fogs stayed on with my highbeams.

Can some one tell me how i need to wire them so i can get them to work right? what do i need to hook them to? do i splice into the low beams to it is on the same?

Thanks

yeah they are on a switch. but they are on a the switch alone. the problem is that i don't have it hooked up so that when the high beams turn on the fog lights turn off. its some stupid law here in PA.
you can only have fog lights on with your low beams.

I think the factory wiring harness has a plug on it that plugs to the steering column and that controls it. You may be able to splice into it. Anyone else know if you can?

My DMV isn't that smart... When I switched my high beams on, I simultaneously turned the fogs off. They couldn't watch the front of the car and the inside at the same time, and I want my fogs to stay on regardless...

All you need is a relay.

Just pull the fuse out for your foglight and tell them the don't work.

The factory foglight signal wire is by the interior fuse box, ion the interior harness, left of the top of the clutch pedal. It's a 1 wire clip thing with electrical tape over it, taped to the harness.

they also told me i can't have them on the car if they don't work. I took it to a Honda/Acura dealer and they were picky about everything.

i found a place that will pass it for me

thanks for the help though

quick and dirty is to run a wire from the lowbeam power on your headlight (from panel or you can do all the wiring under hood) to a relay....and then to your foglights...then they would always be on with lowbeam, turn off when you turn off car/lights, and also turn off with highbeams.
