Default suspension problems when lowering

I have read that when lowering ep3's and rsx's, problems occur with the tie rods, or something, and causes vibration when steering. is this correct? if so, are there any solutions?

i have never heard of this, so if anyone knows specifics, please post.

recently however, i did swap my oem suspension to the mugen ss. IMHO, cosmetically, i feel like it was the perfect drop for my daily driver (rsx). it improves the handling of my car dramatically. the ride is noticeably bumpier (on local streets, highways are fine), but it's not annoying. that's probably more preference than anything. i drove my car on a bunch of roads that twist and turn alot, and i can definitely feel my tires gripping the road. mugen ss = .

Typical complaints are more about "bump steer" (tie rods sit at an angle when lowered, so when you hit a bump, you're wheels/steering wheel start moving) and odd noises when lowering.

My EP3 is lowered on Tein SS's, maybe 1-1.5" or so. I don't really have any complaints - it is a torque/bump steering lil' bastard, but I expect that in a FWD car.

so im guessing, it feels like any other normal car when lowered? thanks for the reply, but that's what i was refering to, the tie rods sitting at an angle, isn't that a major problem? thanks

It is only a major problem if

1) you slam the car

2) you buy suspension that lowers the car too much and does not correct for tierod angles.

Default noise

i had an ep3 with progress springs i installed. whenever i would turn the wheel it would make a "popping" noise. i took it all apart and re-did it, with TONS of waterproof grease...it still did it. i put as much of the coil wrapping on as i could (every coil was covered)...it still did it. i traded in the ep3 with the same noise unfixed. when i lowered my rsx-s i swore i would do it right. so i purchased the tein ss (w/ pillowball upper mounts), and installed them. no noise. nothing.

everythng i've read on the matter points to the spring sitting inpropperly in the spring perch. i hope this makes sense.
