Finally got my turbo'd GSR dyno and tuned(Pics and Vid inside)
finally got my car dyno and tuned today in bellingham by Crescent, we did 7 pulls of dyno, the car put down 180whp/173 fb torque so far. still have more hp to go but the tuning is only 75% done. guess what coz the crank and rod bearing is blew up so we can't get the tuning completely done. but oh well here are some pics and the last pull of dyno.

Tq looks good so far. Know why your bearing's went out at such low hp? N/a GSR's can potentially hit your HP.
that looks good Crescent is a whiz with that Hondata tuning.My boy paul with a turbo ls got his tuned and dynoed there.it's pretty funny cause the dyno is inside a barn!

I running 7 pounds of boost right now, and its complete Rev hard stage 2 turbo kit, I know the HP kinda low. like I said the tuning ain't done yet, crescent got the fuel set up, but still have to play with the ignition timing. we'll see whats the new number after we replace new piston and rods.
your tunner sucks... those numbers are really low... guys are pulling those numbers with an intake and a set of cams with tunning.
cool. but, i's dangerous to dyno your car in that condition. forget the #'s, concentrate on fixing those bearings.

It's pretty pointless to even continue to try to tune it. Looks like you need to do some bottom-end rebuilding, which means you will have to start all over again from the beginning of the tuning process. Every motor is different, and yours will be different once you open up the bottom end to replace whatever needs replacement. So whatever settings you're on now probably won't be the best settings later.
And like everybody said, you're only up 30 fwhp over stock, which is easily attainable with N/A mods. Hell a measly 6 lbs of boost on a 1.6 SOHC Civic engine usually gains 30-50 fwhp with no tuning at all.

yea I agree, especially if that a GSR, my LS made 180+ WHP on a greddy kit with the blue box, before I upgraded the kit.
and that is on a lower compression motor, something went really wrong, I think you might need a full motor build. I know this is bad news, but its true, with a GSR you should be close to 230+ on low boost.
heck with 10psi, on my 150k LS, I made 230whp and 220lbs or trq, only changes to the greddy kit, is a new DP, 3" exhaust, and tuning with the s200b.
I'm only throwing numbers for minor comparison of 190cp LS motor, to 220cp of a GSR.
I would do a CP test, too to isolate which cylinder is the problem if not all. And I didnt understand the initial post, did the crank and rods give out while on the dyno? or you are upgrading them to raise boost, because you should be ok on stock internals to abuot 300WHP well tuned if the motor was in good healt hto begin with

i was definately expecting higher whp numbers, but hey, damn good torque......are you running an ls trans? cause that gear was freakin LONG!!!! But hey, if things arent working right on your motor, then its not going to produce the right hp after tuning. Also, how many lbs of boost>?
he said 7 pounds of boost a few post up i believe correct me if im wrong. but forget the turbo that color is amazing and so is that there supra.
7 pulls @ 7 psi, with 180hp, there is something seriously wrong with the car, with bad tuning u should be sitting out 200+ slapping on the kit.
we did a drag gen 3 stage II kit on a 95 gsr last year, stock internals, 440 injectors
did 230 @6 psi untuned, we put in hondata s200 with boost and put it up to 283 whp @ 8psi

You need to know what you are talking about before you make stupid comments like that. Crescent is a great tuner, no one has ever had any complaints, and he makes great numbers. If they guy brings him a shitty motor, how exactly does Crescent suck?

170 yea so about 150 whp on gsr... and that black on the hood is prob from an open wastegate..

yeah, Crescent is a excellent hondata tuner, he has 10 years tuning experience. its just my something wrong with my stupid motor.

by the way, my buddie is thinking about I should hand over the turbo kit for him put on his drag hatch, and he'll build me a strong all motor set up for me for the turbo kit. its worth to trade?

this doesnt make sense.. you just slap on the turbo and then figure out something wrong with your car ? Have you ever dyno'd your car before the turbo? Now your just like, uh.. i might just go N/A now... u cant just switcharoo lke that... i think the cost of rebuilding your motor will be cheaper than trying to go N/A... hell. u already have a turbo kit. Make sure you do things the correct way the _first_ time , better to be safe than to be sorry u know.
