Default Ground Controls don't go any lower than 375 lb-in?

Last week I ordered a set of Konis and custom rated (325/450) GCs, I got a call back from the place I ordered them today from saying that GC doesn't go any lower than 375. I had them call back and find out why they won't, because I know eibach springs go down to about 150 and there are GC kits with rates lower than 375.... he said they told him it had to do with the size of the perch? Correct me if I'm wrong, but GCs take standard ERS springs don't they? Standard 2.25 or 2.5" ID springs (I don't know which), correct? So why can't they pull from anywhere in the Eibach selection for them? I don't understand it. Their website lists tons of rates below that in many sizes... so are they just being pains because I want something non standard? Out of stock but don't want to say that? Its just not making much sense to me. Can you just buy GC collars and top hats with no springs from somewhere? Doesnt matter to me if they come as a kit or pieces... I just need em.

They take standard 2.5" ERS springs.

I'm running 325s with my GCs. Ordered them direct from Ground Control.

you gotta go direct. I've used 325 and 350 lb/inch springs from GC. My friend's datsun has 200 lb/in springs. all are ERS and all have been purchased directly from ground control.

it sounds like the place you are ordering from wants to sell their back stock, and doesn't want to have to order anything new.

What length? I have a 325# 8 incher at home but I don't know if they come in shorter lengths.

7" and 8" are both available lower than 350. 6" are not.

I called GC this afternoon for a better explaination than I was getting. Basically, they don't put any guarantees on the spring rates going lower than 375 on the car because thats what their standard rate kit for the car is. They seem to say that I could have issues bottoming the suspension out or causing dynamics problems with the handling. I don't know. I figure I'll take their advice for now, I changed it to 375/450 and lets see how it starts out.
