ITR valve springs enough?
I recently rebuilt my head beace i bent my valves. I wanted to build it while it was out but i didn't have much money so the only upgrade i did was itr valve springs retainers and itr cams. Now that i have money i want to go a little biger and i was looking at skunk 2 stage 2 cams...will my springs be good enough for stage 2? Will my oem valves be good enough? I heard oem are the strongest is this true?
if ur going to go ahead and go s2 stage 2's, u'll want to get their valves, valve springs, and titanium retainers. also to further help out with the building of the head with stage 2 cams u would probably want to look at raising the compression.
For some reason I doubt OEM valves are stronger than stainless. As for weather or not the springs will handle the lift. I don't know. You can check the coil bind and pressure of the stock ITR valve springs. Allthough if they have a lot of miles on them they probably won't like those cams at all. But I'm not sure how much more lift the skunk2 s2 cams have over ITRs.

once vtec kicks so will your motor
you need any after market springs and retainers
sunk2 stage 2 cams will also be worthless if you dont up the compression to atleast 11.5 and is you dont up the compression your better off staying with your itr cams
