Do some research on your own. Thats the best way.

The B18A is generally cheaper. They're out of the 90-93 Integra, so they're pretty easy to find. If you're talking about the B18C (DOHC VTEC/ITR/GSR), which is more comparable to the B16, then the B16 is cheaper.

I did my B16 swap for the same price as a B18a swap. Do some research and see what works for you.

b18a/b swaps right in with mounts and linkage. vtec anything, you have to do some wiring.

and the vtec motors are more expensive.

hell either one of them is a good choice. i decided to go with the b16 but i have a good friend that went along with a b18a and decided to go lsVtec with it. its a fully built low compression motor and it fricken moves. they are both good its just what you want to build.

The b18a full swap is cheaper then a b16a full swap..

You can get the b18a swap for less then $500 at a junkyard..

and do a stock rebuild and have a brand new engine for uner $1000 w/the swap.

^ this is the route id go. Add some boost and your set.

Nobody knows how many miles are on those motors from japan..They estimate around 30k-50k but they dont know//Atleast if you buy a b18a from a junkyard the miles are right on the odometer of the car..You might get lucky and get a car thats been sitting there since 1996 with under 50k miles...You find some good stuff at junkyards..
