what I meant is The Integra RS was like the lowest of low no sunroof and sometimes no power options. So I was comparing that to the RSX with no sunroof. It would be a Lower Base model.
generally, car companies come out with the lowest trim line in the first model year.
RSX base is the lowest RSX available - and even that has a sunroof.
Standardizing the features lowers the overall unit cost of producing vehicles with a particular feature level - Acura has been doing that on all of their models lately -
Consider that in 1997 you could pick from 5 different trim lines of Integra, with more factory options. - now there are only 2 (RSX) with only 2 options (auto/manual, leather/cloth)
In 2005, the number of people that would buy a new super stripped down RSX vs a used Type-S is very small.
