My **** grinds 2nd to 3rd when I redline that ****. Is the tranny going bad or do i need to replace the clutch? Because I have read something in the past about it never being the hydro tranny's flaut or some **** like that. When it grinds its the trannys flaut, not the clutch? I dont know what im talking about.
Theres a couple things that could be happenin. Are you familiar with how to adjust the clutch cable? Try adjustin it so it engages higher up, you might not be disengaging the clutch all the way so that could be why it grinds. Otherwise, there is a problem with the gears and/or synchros.

my car is grinding 2nd to 3rd on high rpms...only on high rpms. would the clutch cable being too tight have anything to do with my grinding problem?

Clutch cable too tight would make your engagement point higher in the pedal. So i dont think that would be the problem, but you could always try to adjust it and see if you can find a more comfortable spot.
Also try this. Go about 70, with the clutch all the way in, try to ease it in 3rd. If it still grinds its the synchros, mine does the same thing. Also try changing the trans fluid wit some GM Synchromesh or Honda MTL. You may either not have fluid, or its lost all its viscosity and its not helpin any more. Good luck
