Well, I tried to do a deal with a user here, and it did not go well. I tried to work it out, and got anger and threats instead. I doubt anyone cares, so I'm not going to vet the issues here. If an impartial mod older than 30 wants to get involved, perhaps we can work something out. 10th time this month. WTF?

Otherwise, it's been a fun hobby, and I'll miss the comraderie, the good people here, and so on. But H-T is just too full of kooks, haters, flakes, etc. I just don't have the stomach for all the cr@p anymore. I'm done here. ITR board = great, classifieds/some other forums = suck. Takes the fun out of it.

:edit: F' it. I'm back, still a good guy, but now I'm a member of the H-T 455 police, along with others. Ship-talkers will be kacked down extra-hard for everyone to see. User was Collateral - aka Eric Dickerson - aka NWP4Life - aka about 10 other aliases. Lousy thief punk bitch with 2 ITR's (one RHD JDM show kaR) and a Scooby (bought with stolen funds, and equipped with stolen parts).

Tried to scam me on the deal, but I figured out he was a kook even before I found out he was really Eric. Has a ton of 'vouches' (from all his thief friends). Threatened to get me banned and post a sticky on me as a scammer, using his friends the H-T mods. Did indeed get PM's from users claiming to be mods, telling me 'You better work it out with Collateral, he knows lots of people here' and other threats. Told them all to F' off. He did not send his supposedly mint, actually non-existent USDM ITR tails in trade for my JDM tails, so he got nothing. Then he crys and talks smack to me in PM, posts in my threads (but won't e-mail me as asked), etc. Now I know where he lives, where he hangs, where he works, and what cars he drives (exactly).

Even more to the point this guy is baked most of the time, works in an office selling mortages, and pretends to be 'hard'. Yes, you may get a deal from this guy if you are in So Cal, mainly close to Corona, CA, as he's too much of a ***** to scam anyone local (out of fear). But he scams EVERYONE he deals with outside the LA basin, and every single word out of his mouth is a lie.

I agree. H-T has been the sole resource for all the mods I've done. Almost every decision I make is H-T related.

Of course, there's always gonna be ********, haters, and the like, but after you filter all that chit out most peeps on here are cool dudes.

Don't give up on us yet

So a deal with one person didn't go well, and therefore you're leaving because you claim "H-T is just too full of kooks, haters, flakes, etc."? Because of your interactions with one person?

 

Thanks for the kinds words all. Well, perhaps I should clarify. H-T has generally been great. I've met a lot of great people here. Yes, a ton of people I've never met have gone out of their way, and invested significant personal time to help me out. I've done likewise. I really love that about the Internet.

Maybe I'll feel differently in a few weeks. Maybe I need to seperate the R board from the classifieds.

Meantime, I've been promised that a sticky thread will be posted calling me a scammer. With all the problems everyone has been having here, I feel that will mean I can no longer buy and sell freely, so what's the point? It just leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. Life is to short for all this BS in my hobby.

One bad deal? Try dozens. Buyers that don't pay, sellers who are never heard from again just as I'm waiting for a paypal address, lowballers, name calling, etc. Oh well, I guess my standards are just too high.

I bought the R with input from people here, and it's been the best car I've owned (and I've had many). Every mod I've bought and sold was done here, and on trust only.

Keep the rubber side down.

Whats the side story to your dillema? What is the real reason you are leaving? Mods easily resolve situations, as i have been in a couple of them myself. Tell us your story, and we'll decide who is the 'bad' person. Just because you have one bad deal, even if its your bad, i think it wont ruin ur rep. Hope you stay dude, the ArrrRRrRGH guys are stand up dudes, as i have never heard of one being a 'scammer'

Apparently. Maybe they are not a mod, or maybe just talking smack. But if you can't trust the mods, then the board is doomed, and going to the mods for help won't accomplish much.

i tried to deal with him, he never sent me money and claims he did. Stay man, take some time to cool off, i visit the Type R section daily and dont even own onw anymore.

 

Interesting that this post comes up. I just dealt with a person that wanted to buy my motor. I was asking 4900 and he offered 4700, but I declined and told him i'd rather keep my motor. Then he got all offended and proceeded to call me a "punk kid" and a "*****" and said that my parents uy everything for me, when in fact my dad has been gone since I was 10 and my mom doesn't pay for my **** LOL.

Then he said he was gonna beat me up and that he knew where I lived and that he had my phone number LOL. I was the one that gave him my phone number so he's a real genius. HAhahahah.....nobody knows where I live. Not even my mom or brother know my address. So this **** sure as hell doesn't.

So if any of you get to deal with Dominic Dolce from San Francisco, don't bother. He's a ******* waste of a human and he is full of ****. Kept asking me if the Type-R motor had 195 HP.....asked like 10 times.....What a ******* ricer. I'm glad my motor will be in good use by me so that some racist fucktard ricer doesn't get my **** lol.

 

wow i guess i'm not the only one who feels that way about him. Kept naggin me about my advans, kept me under the impression that he was getting them, then indicated later on that they were for his friend, kept lowballn me and saying he would never pay for the price i asked for.. so i moved on.
