IMHO, I don't like the look of hoodpins. But if you get some, get the sparcos, and paint it black.

Or just get hood locks, just like in the picture above.

hood pins are hood pins. sparco, cusco, mugen, whatever floats your boat. they all do the same damn thing.

I dont like to look of hood pins eaither, but they held my hood down. without them i had serious lift at 80ish mph. scary **** when you see the hood floppin around like it wants to fold backwards.

they also make that cf radiator shroud thing.....they have a review of them on h-t and several people said it greatly reduced hood flopping on the highway...might wanna take a look at that.

Not to be rude, but did you search? I think JC Whitney has some. There's been a few thread about it.

I have sparcos. I would rather not have any at all, but it beats having your hood fly up. It flopped, at least I looked like it was on the freeway which I have to take to school everyday.

I have been in a car before when the hood has flown up, it's pretty intense.

As everyone else, I hate hoodpins, but they definatly keep my hood from doing its thing. I went to my local auto parts store and bought some for 10 bucks.

The car I was in was a 91 civic hatch. We were driving on I5 S going only about 80 and it just came up and smashed the window. Scared the **** out of me. It was a stock hood, so I never even thought about that happening. Ripped the entire latch off!!! I think I have pics of it somewhere. But hoodpins are worth it for sparing you from that nightmare.

I have a shroud + CF hood. I installed the shroud a while after the hood, and the "hood hop" is still there. It's not as bad... but still there. It is definately not a cure all. I am selling a template of one for a 4th gen if anyone is interested. Not trying to bank off this thread or anything, but if anyone wants to try a shroud without paying high$$ for "testing" purposes... Just IM me.

I am about to install some sparco pins although I dont really care for the look. I don't want my shiz to fly up.

I just switched hoods and I will try out the "stock" latch for now. If I do have any problems, the locks with be going back on.

I had a Kaminari CF hood on my 00 SH. The latch was huge and bolted down with 4 large heavy duty screws. I didn't have hoodpins. The hood didn't vibrate/rattle much at high speeds. I never had a problem, until I sold it, long story.

Seibon hoods, hmm I had an experience w/ their CF lips about 2 years ago. I didn't like the quality/fit. I've heard mainly bad things about them. A member on here had them on his bb6, it blew up on the highway. (shattered to pieces?)

Yep, hoodpins should fix it.
