i was just looking on ebay and found this its a "Pole Switch" so what is it???

Hmm...electric antenna maybe? Never seen that before. Could just be pure bs.

 

maybe, thats what i was thinking. still think it would be cool to have. to take up those spaces on each side of the wheel, but i dont think its BS

 

never seen it eaither... write the seller a message asking what it is.

 

its the little pull on the jdm bumper to see how close they are to the curb, because they park so close

 

yah, there little fealers on the bumpers. Keeps from curbing there rims and shiznit.

yeah, that's an o.e. bumper pole switch.

this is the best picture i have of the poles retracted. i don't have any good ones of them extended.

 

But, what does it do???

 

When you push the button, the pole lights up and comes comes up out of the bumper.
it's not an antenna, but it comes out like one.

It's so newb drivers can tell where the front bumper is easily.

 

U may see buses and other hard to park vehicles with those here in the states. They are so you can tell where the farthest corner of ur bumper is.

 

cool, but if you cant park a **** hatch or a rex you dont need to be driving. my hatch is the easyest car i have ever parked if you catch my drift.....

 

like he mentioned above, people in japan park very close to others, or obstructions of sort.
hence the folding mirrors too

 

totally going off topic, but the most hilarious story i have of my uncle in korea driving was we were stuck in traffic and i see him wedge between two cars. he rolls down my passenger window and tells me to pull the mirror in. im like wtf? what does that mean? after he tells me again, so i just do it by folding the mirror, and then he proceeds to move forward and just misses grazing the car next to me by inches...

 

yeah they get close to each other over there,very over populated maybe?

 

my brother has a jdm civic si with it has sir conversion didn;t have it on his though maybe its european civics

Yeah those also came on some of the jdm accords I believe. It took me a while to figure out what it was the first time I saw one. Cool option i guess...

When I got my bumper from password I got just a hole I guess they decided I shouldn't have it.

parking in Japan can be a lot tighter than in the states this item is just an option on some Japanese market automobiles, just like the power folding mirrors, etc...

DUDE YOU HAVE FOG HORN.....awesome.....like a trucker horn coming off a crx. that's almost as bad as my buddy wanting to trade my crx horn for his 68 VW mini bus....
