New CRX?
It would be nice to see Honda make a new gen CRX, though I doubt it would be called the CRX in the states or anywhere. If anything it would be a smaller car based on the crx platform. The thing is though, Honda will NEVER be able to make another car as lightweight as the CRX.
Every few years since '91 there have been rumors of a "new" CRX. In '96 "Automobile" magazine had a half page article with concept drawings of the new CRX that was supposedly coming out in '97. Have you ever seen a '97 CRX? Until someone posts real pictures (not a photoshopped Insight) of a prototype at Honda's testing facility then I wouldn't hold my breathe....
I can't really see this one well, so can you tell me what it is? they say its supposed to be the new CRX. http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/...94477

That article's at least a year old. Honda hasn't produced any concept show cars and there haven't been prototypes spotted. BTW - that concept drawing is the RSX before it was produced....

Not to hate but that's incredibly old....it's a photoshopped Insight. Use "Search" and you'll find the "Before and After" pictures of the Insight.

Not a problem, I will say this - Honda is redesigning the Civic platform. I'm not sure when it's due out but it would be the perfect time for a new CRX. So keep your fingers crossed. It's possible, who would've ever guessed that Honda would make a pickup?

pick up your new march 05 honda tuning and view the 2006 Civic hatch. looks like the CRX and the article says it has styling of the CRX but they will most likely be a 2006 Civic Si
The Del Sol replaced the CRX and the Insight replaced the Del Sol. So by your train of thought the CRX is still in production.
IMO, the CRX has not been made since 91. I don't care what replaced what. And I completely agree with Ti Rider. Until real pics come, and not a drawing or photoshop I won't hold my breathe. Hopefully someday they will make a new one but don't count on it.

there wont be a CRX line anymore. all you'll see is hopped up Insights and the new 2006 Si which really looks like a CRX with tsx front and mazda6 backend.
Its all about the Civic and Integras in the States, now the RSX is out. they should of just kept it the Integra. changing names to kill a line of production.
My theory is when honda changes the name of a car in the states but keeps its line in Japan/Europe. can mean only 2 things. discontinuing the Integra and RSX soon in the states or trying new marketing til its dead. Now they have TSXs and the new 2006Si to take the place of the RSX. I actually think we will see a Type-R but in the form of a civic. Civic Type-R k20 type-s powered for the states because of $$ and the demand for a Civic with more power than our current EP3 Si.

Honda is about making money and more owners/customers. We are just on there good side because of experience we have had with them and will stay faithful even if they dont bring over type-R, jdm stuff and whatnot. what they will do is make new productions and get new owners. Ask yourself why would honda bring out better things out for people like us to upgrade to, when we will soon perfect the kswap into the civic/crx and many other cars that already done it. they know the intelligence and the aftermarket support will keep people like us on our feet and satisfied. thats why they will remain to do production of new cars and customers.
