Even after alignment, car still pulls left ??
Even after my recent alignment, the car still pulls left... Psi in all 4 tires is fine. I am running yokohama AVS ES100 radials. I had the car aligned at pep boys and they told me that more work and parts is going to be needed to fix the car. I have to constantly correct the steering, if i let go of the steering wheel for even a second, ill begin drifting into the other lanes. HELP PLEASE !!
(Wow oh wow, I took the car to a different pep boys and told them my story, to make a long story short, the alignment specialist there took care of the alignment and now the car drives straight as an arrow. Lesson learned: always get a second opinion and get work double checked.)

Did these peppy boyz even bother to tell you what the parts were that you needed? Like a CV joint perhaps? I don't understand the question for help when you just had your car in, and they told you that you needed new parts. *shrug.
Might want to do it before you wear through those new tires. Also, did Pep Boys charge you for this alignment? Reason I ask is, someone like Les Schwab will not do the alignment until you, them or someone else gets the new parts in, for obvious reasons and liability reasons.
Aloha,
Brandon

I would seek the help from a Mechanic that specilizes in wheel alignments. example I brought my car to rpmracinginc.com and they asked me if I would want any type of settings dialed in.
and yes it was a few more $ then the guy around the corner but I must say the before and after ws very very different.

try swapping the front tirese left and right and see if it pulls the other way. that way you can at least eliminate the tires as the source of the problem if it still pulls in the same direction. if it pulls in the other direction, the tires are your problem. had that happen before. put new tires on and the pulling went away.
good luck

good luck

make sure your tires are balanced correctly and didnt lose any wheel weights.
make sure youre inner control arm bushings arent shot. this happened to me recently. and that, in turn, wore my tires unevenly so even after fixing the bushings, the car wont go straight bc the tires are already shot.
and im also confused as to if pep boys told you WHAT PARTS were needed to "fix" the "problem" or if they just said you need to get it fixed with stuff. weird.

Well there's your answer!? Sheesh!
What are you alignment specs after they finished?
Get a list of the parts you need and replace them.

You'd need to swap the tires on the wheels themselves as I believe the ES100 is directional.
You can swap them rear -> front and vice versa though.

Get the suspension checked out first or get a second opinion, becareful of some shaddy shops. I had a similiar incident with Firestone. My car would pull to the right after the alignment. The tech "claim" it wasn't his fault and that I needed more work and parts on the car. I said screw this, so I bought it to another Firestone (under warranty), they did it right with no questions ask. For anyone in the bay area who wants to get a alignment, avoid the FIRESTONE on Geary St. in San Francisco. Bunch of low life scammers. Almost got scammed out of hundreds of dollars for something that was necessary.

I dunno wanna sound dumb... but sometimes the road you are driving on will pull the car one way or another?
Are you sure you weren't on a angle or grooved spot in the road when you noticed this? How bad is it? my car does it some to, but as long as its not realy bad, you shouldnt have much to worry about.

Yes, you can drive with the tires swapped left/right to test the pulling issue. But, by no means leave them swapped as the directional issue is due to the tire tread direction being used for water channeling... however, as a quick test you will have no problems doing this.

UPDATE: Funny thing... pep boys screwed up, went to another pep boys and they fixed the problem. Now the car is as straight as an arrow.
