antenna motor removal
what would be the easiest way of removing my stock antenna and motor. im replacing it with an s2000 antenna and want to yank the old motor and rewire the new antenna. am i going to have to take off that entire rear panel? any suggestions would help before i go and tear it apart. thanks
yea, you have to remove the cardboard thats in the trunk, and then move the panel on ur left and the one at the very back. before u take take off the one on the left, there are 2 10mm bolts i believe or just 1... take those out and YANK the panel lose, u wont be able to remove the entire thing. u dont need to. then there is a bolt holding the motor in place on a bracket. reach behind the motor and unplug the harness and coaxial cable. go outside of the car and on top of the antenna you will see rivets, use a flat head, and genty hit the ring in a counter clockwise motion (unscrews the top) and the motor just falls out.
nevermind I just looked in the wrong section.
