Default NEED HELP QUICK!

ok i need help really fast. i tried another thread, i just hope this gets more reading. the only way i know how to describe this is walk you through my situation..so here it goes.. (i have a 95 ex 5 spd. by the way )
morning, i start the car, let it warm up. it idles fine, normally, around 1-1500 (when the engine is cold). after i start driving, and totally let off the gas at a stop, or coast in neutral, (let it idle at all). it'll idle anywhere from 200 to about 700, and putter kinda so low that it will die sometimes . it seems sometimes that it kinda wants to be at 1000 though...? and sometimes when im starting from first it seems like it kinda chugs, and putters if i keep the gas below 2500+. this isn't happening once in a while, but all the time.

my question, HOW DO I FIX IT? its getting insane, and annoying . like when it dies when someones behind me at a stop. possible solutions i've heard:

distributor rotor - someone told me to tighten a screw on the rotor. i took the dis. cap off, and there was a plastic casing with 2 screws on the side, and a circular plastic piece..is this the rotor, or not? and what screws do i have to tighten?

adjusted idle - is it possible that someone that owned it before me adjusted the idle? if so, how do i adjust it higher?

vaccuum tubes -is this a possibility?

timing - definately a question here?

fuel delivery - is it possible maybe the injectors are shot or anything? it seems wierd it idles kinda normal at cold temps tho

please anyone that can help, please do. i'll take any advice. im out of money right now and i need this fixed. please help, thanks alot

I would maybe question your Idle Air Control Valve. Mine is doing the exact same thing I just dont have the cash to fix it rigth now. Timing would make it die all the time so I think thats out of the question. Injectors could be a maybe, Try running some injector cleaner. You have the rotor pinned but its been a while since I have had mine off so I dont really remember the screw.

i would definatly look into a new fuel filter and maybe replace the pump also...same thing happened in my uncles car, and he replaced the pump and filter and it ran just fine...so i would say try that
