There are 5 #24 bulbs and 1 #74 just go up to advanced auto parts or pep boys and buy them. They come in packs of 2 bulbs and run about $2.50 a pack. I just followed the tutorial and did mine red today. Looks sweet.

Here's mine I did a few weeks ago.

Turned reddish and looks 10 times better than the stock white lit cluster.

Good tutorial did it on mine yesterday turned out really nice. I used a deep red color and removed the original paint tinting so everthing is a nice deep red color.

Do they make any of the #24 and #74 bulbs in white but are a higher wattage? I dig the white, but its just so weak, I kind of want brighter bulbs in there, my damned needles hardly light up.

I've got a TON of 8k? white LED's, and a bunch of blue ones too. Where is this write-up on an LED swap? Is it supposed to help with just the needle illumination, or the whole cluster face illumination?

Can anyone hook up the LED gauge lighting thread? I did a search under Bauleycivic (led, gauge, cluster, lighting, etc) and all I could find was his thread about the m@D jdm y0 red/orange cluster lighting using the #24 and #74 bulbs for an EG.

I have an EK, does it matter, or is it still the 5 - #24's and 1/3(if doing climate control) - #74's?

Now did you really have to ask that?

Riddle me this:

"What color is the sky?"

Answer that and you'll have your answer!
