How Reliable is LS/Vtec???
I Own An 88C-Rex si,(B18a1 Swap) , I want to Make it Ls/Vtec But Theres Ups And Downs about it......Ups is The Power ,Better Air Flow,etc.........Downs Is Distructions and Detination!

So Wat Do Guys Think?

I think you need spelling lessons...

As for the engine, it all depends on how it's done... if you take a 150,000 mile LS block and throw a B16/B18C head on it and rev it to 8000, then yeah, it'll fail for sure.

Here's what I'm doing: I'm gonna get some new piston rings, ARP rod bolts, and get the crankshaft balanced (apparently non vtec B series have unbalanced crankshafts). This should let me rev it to about 8200 or so with no block problems.

Well, its not how Honda intended. No oil squirters to cool those slugs off. I'd say if built right, they can be nice and reliable. Search and I'm sure there are a billion posts on it,
