OT: WTF is the new Honda Ridgeline??
Trending Topics
I have high hopes for Honda to really shake up the truck market. Here's hoping they release a version more suited to towing with a killer turbodiesel.
As for the styling -- I am very very disappointed.
Kick butt, Honda! Keep the innovations coming!

You really need to see it in person.
Standard Honda function.
V6 Front drive/AWD
I would rock it with some new Wheels.
I will be looking at it in about 2 years.....................just to make sure all of the bugs are out.

Looks nice, but I'd like to see a better towing capacity -- they should have made a V-8 an option.

I saw it a couple of years ago at an auto show in Atlanta. The purpose of the Ridgeline is not to dominate the truck market but to make some owners of smaller size trucks move up to a better 1/2 ton pickup. Well that is what I read in MotorTrend.

You will be seeing a boosted Ridgeline eventually
It's only a matter of time until someone does it.

This is an odd truck.
They call it a 1/2 ton truck.
But its not the size of other 1/2 ton trucks.
Its more like slightly bigger Tacoma/Colorado, and none of those have V8's.

Ridgeline = waste of sheetmetal.
I think Honda missed the import pickup bandwagon by about 30 years, or whenever the little Datsun and Toyota trucks started heading over.
Now, Nissan and Toyota are throwing out honest competitors to the ubiquitous Chevy/Ford V8 half- or three-quarter-ton pickup. IMO, Honda is coming in too late and with too little.

My guess is that this will have an over 30k price tag, and for that price you can go buy ANY comparable truck for that much and will out perform it in any way. Honda should have started making a truck 15 years ago and maybe by now they will be where Toyota and Nissan are already at.
