Dont know what to think..........kinda mad
Alright, im at work and i had to take my dads car cause mine was going in for a oil change and tires. I come back around 9:15pm to find out that my parents put Dunlop SP Sport W-10 (195/55/15) on my car. I specifically told them brands such as Bridgestone, BFGoodrich, Pirelli, Yokohama. And I get some fricken DUNLOPS!!! I dont know what to think, so im going to ask for some feed back from you. Could you guys post which brand and size of tires you guys run and im going to see what i could do. Compared to the RE-10's i feel like im off roading in these or i lifted my car or something.......PIIIISSSSSSSSSEEEEEED. (Also should be thankful i didn't pay for them though).........
that sucks and it doesn't snow in cali too!
guess your stuck with em til u get new rims or watever
make good use of them......light them up!!!!!

man i wish my parents bought me tires... since i have to pay for them myself, cost is the main deciding factor. i ended up getting kumho 712s for about 70 bucks a tire. i've only had them on a track once but, i must say, i'm impressed. the grip is good and the tires are very predictable which is pretty important to me.
you'll be fine.. they are still good. Just be happy with what you got. But if you can still exchange them because you bought the wrong tire then i would go exchange them. but i don't know how tire companies work something like that out. Good luck. Dunlops W-10 are not bad at all.

alright, well i mean i wrote down names of some brands, and their prices aren't too high. Just most of you have Bridgestone, Azenis, I know a ITR who has BFGoodrich.......are 55's a little too much also, i feel like im a rally car or something compared to RE's.

i dont have an itr but i do have the dunlop w-10's. i like them. i think they are probably comparable to the azenis and maybe better than the kuhmos. and they make no squeals whatsoever. i may try the azenis next time i get tires i dunno.
Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. If you yelled at your parents, you should go GROVELING back to them begging forgivness for being ungrateful.

YD, who wishes his next set of tires were free.
Free tires =
&
new free tires from anyone would be =
You should've done a research here before buying anything. Not all models of Bridgestone, Yokohamas are good neither, and there are different Azenis as well...etc.
How can you expect a good outcome when you don't even know what to get yourself? If you expect someone to buy something for you, do a presentation with specific points.

Stock tire size is 195/55, so they're the same dimensions as your stock RE010s...you could've done worse, and as everyone said, free ain't bad. But, if you can improve the situation, good luck!
I know how you feel, I wanted replace my tires with quality, but in Amarillo, Tx, the best I could get was Potenza 910's. I hated them at first, the car didn't feel right at all, I was uncomfortable. It gets better over time. Make sure where ever you got the tires put on that they didn't mess with you camber or alignment. They screwed that up too, when I had my tires changed.
Ditto...wish someone would pay for MY tires...I'm not exactly jumping with joy plunking down $900 for tires every 10,000 miles...
Being ungrateful = *BOO*

WTF is wrong with some of you people? Ya it was nice of his parents and all, but I could understand why he would be pissed, his parents bought the wrong thing, now hes going to have to go spend another 400, no whats the point of buying 2 sets of tires, wasting his money and his parents money? I hate when people buy you things you did not ask for, act gratefull twards them, but let them know they did not get the right thing somehow that is respectfull, maybe they will consult you in the future then, you have to let them know somehow. I cant stand people who thing everything thier parents do is perfect and ok no matter if it's right or wrong, Jesus. Being gratefull is one thing, but just saying the wrong thing is right all the time to appease them is just stupid. All you people act like you have never had anything ever handed to you, like you are somehow better then everyone else because you had to beg for change on street corners for money or something, you're not that honorable just because you flame him for questioning something his parents bought him.

They are pretty kick *** tires...I wouldn't complain one bit if I got them free. Dunlop is also a kick *** tire manufacturer, although everyone thinks their inferior for some reason
If you really wanna get rid of them fast, just AutoX a lot, but I'm sure you'll be surprised at the amount of grip they have.

Nowhere in the original post did I see where #1825 told his parents which tire to buy him. How could they have bought the wrong thing when they didn't even know what the right thing was? He suggested brands only. Now how are his parents going to determine from just a name which tire to buy? Guh...
1825 - Wait until you get a 1000 or so miles on those Dunlops before you decide to hate them. I bought 712's for my first replacement tires on my Integra, and was honestly not very pleased until I got some wear on them. Now I'd likely buy another set
