I see people selling axle backs and they say it fits both EK hatch and EG hatches.
Is this true?
Do they really both fit? I see on websites that axle backs for eg's and ek's have different part #s??

for EG and EK coupes and sedans I know they are, but I'm not sure for hatch's. It could be since honda liked to make things interchangable b4 they changed bodies in 2002

i believe the axle back will have to be cut and welded due to the diff sizes/angles of the LCA's.

 

The EG hatch axle back will fit a EK hatch. and vice versa. But the B-pipe will not!

i think thats waht i was thinking. i got them backwards. lol

 

Hold up, I know 1992-2000 Sedan/Coupe exhausts are the same, b-pipe and axle back.

Now, for the hatches, the 1992-2000 hatch axlebacks are the same, but the 92-95 hatch has a different b-pipe than the 96-00?

Can someone confirm this?

 

oh yes thats right the b pipes are different because the 96-00 non-vtec civics have a cat thats actually integrated with the header (in the engine bay), where as the EG had the cat after the header (underneath the car). So the EK's have a longer b-pipe because the cat is in the engine bay.
