Default Anyone ever heard of these tyres?

Continental Tyres? I've recently seen them in tyre reviews in local Motor Magazines etc.. and they are very good so they reckon. Has anyone tried them before? I want to know what they are like compared to the classic RE-010's. Anyone?

I believe Continental is a German Brand. TireRack sells them, so do a little search there. As far as quality, I couldn't tell you. I've seen some Bimmers and Benzes rolling on them. Must be OK in the least. I think they are OE on some of those Benzes and Bimmers.

ContiSports are OE for the Focus SVT and from the car mag reviews, they seem to like em. My next set of tires will be the ContiSports because I have a certificate for $400 off of a set of em! Now, i do believe there are diff flavors of ContiSports, just like there are diff flavors of Potenzas.

My steelies from Zygspeed came with ContiSportContacts in 195/55 R15...they're a decent summer tire, i'd rate them 3 on a scale of 1 to 5. They COMPLETELY SUCK in the rain and are worse than that in the snow...(i'm not complaining cuz i got a great price...but they're not something i'd ever put on again) granted, the ones i have are old and sat in a garage for a while...but i would not recommend them in bad conditions. They are a fine cruising/highway tire, not for hard driving, seriuosly inferior to the RE010 in that regard.

Yep, if I remember well, it's a German brand! It's the stock brand name tire on most Volkswagen. Good, but expensive tire.

Never got any personal experience!

They are a pretty good bang for the buck. They do come OEM on some Porsches, Benz's and Bimmers(some of the new M3's run on the Sport Contacts). Not the greatest, but like I said, pretty good for the $$$.

They are very very common here in Europe. But they are only known as good allround all weather tire. They don't have good Ultra High performance or Max performance tires.... So, not suitable for ITRs.....
