Default Hi, new around here and had some questions.

Hi guys

I am in the market for a used Honda and I have always been partial to the CRX.

I was wondering what to look for when shopping for one. What I should look for and to look out for?

I found one locally with 173,000 miles, which seems high to me but its a Honda right? Its $1,950 and the body looks to be in good shape.

I would appreciate any help or advice you guys had to offer.

TIA

Look for rust..These cars rust everywhere in every state..
Try and find a si or an hf..The dx is a bitch if you ever want to swap motors..Alot of wiring..

It is a DX, but no motor swap for a while. I need it for gas milage right now. The motor swap happens when this motor dies. Do these motors die? What is their life span? Is there a milage that is untouchable? Like a Ford over 100,000.

honda/acura motors last at least a whole generation. I'm basing my motors life by the length of my own, basically my hf motor was 15 when i pulled it and am only 19, that's at least my whole life so far. D series when properly tuned/maintained/cleaned/ will get you figgity fat gas mileage and more then sound mind in your motor. B series makes you greedy for more power and eventually you want more....But overall, you clean and maintain your motor and honda will pull into the 400,000mark. I was at 266,xxx on my Hf motor and it still pulled harder then most Dx/si motors.
Maintenance is the key.
300,xxx - 400,xxx mi or about 15-20 years
