ever got a ticket for exhaust db (bike)
has anyone ever got a ticket for their exhaust being to loud on their bike? I don't think there is any performance exhaust out there that is under the db limit. I see all these harleys that i know are WAYYYYYYY over should i worry? I hear it a $500 ticket.
Naw i havent and havent heard of anyone getting a ticket for it either. But a buddie of mine has got this old 1982 suzuki i dunno what model it is but its all old school. Well he chopped the muffler in half and took out the core. You wanna talk loud?? OMG its nauseating loud and he has never got a ticket. The muffler looks like a FMF shorty for moto-x bikes its hilariuos.

if they try give you a ticket, ask them to measure the DB right then and there... how can they argue? if they don't have the proper equipment to measure it, how can they give you a ticket? doubt it'll hold in court if you have to go

Since bikes don't have to go through emissions inspections, I assume the cops just ignore pipes. They'd rather nail you for doing 140mph in a 65

Its the same thing with cars, they'll just write you a ticket and send you to the state ref to be tested. Thats how it works here in CA atleast.
