Go-Karting!
Wheeee! Spent this past Sunday with the North Hills Sports Car Club go-karting at Speeds (http://www.speeds.cc) in Ohio. Man those things were fun! Apparently they got up to ~40MPH on the longest full-throttle section, and man is that FAST when you're so close to the ground! Lots of good racing, tons of fun. It was all about momentum since it was a direct drive 200cc 
engine--not much acceleration. Here's a pic Aleph snapped of me coming on to the front straight. He thinks I look camera shy but I'm really just excited 'cause I just passed #11

Yeah, was lots of fun, glad you could make it...more pics will be on S&M soon, and there's pics from the last event in the racing section already. Was also nice to meet some of the WV crew, Chris93Si and friends did well, one of them was threatening for the top three in the fast group until he choked under pressure in the finals and fell behind me ....there wil lbe another one in the spring, i'll be sure to post something here.

i used to race 125cc shifter karts--now there's a rush for you (0-60 in under 3 seconds, top speed of about 120mph). i was actually a factory driver for ARC karts out of england. those karts made SVWC feel mundane!!

You guys came all the way to Ohio to go to speeds? Wow. The place is probably only 20 minutes from me and I've only been there twice.
Kind of like the people who live in Paris who have never been to the Eiffel tower or something? Although when I want go-cart speeds, I just go hop on my Honda ATV. It goes faster and can jump some pretty mean hills
