Default New engine and tranny!

Just picked up a d15bvtec and LSD tranny for 500 from SOKO in Chicago today. I was so pumped when I found a LSD tranny there and they didn't even know they had it! One guy was like "hell I don't even notice that when I ship them out and just send them whatever tranny and don't even look at the markings on it." So I guess thats how some people just get them when buy them if they have them shipped to them. The guy there was really nice and stayed open for us longer since it was a 4 hour drive for us to get there from northern WI but it was worth it to find that gem. I got to pick from like 20 d15b's they had. It was kinda cool but they were pretty much all the same since they all came from auto cars and the only thing to pick them out from other ones was to find one with good sensors or if you want a black valve cover or just plain unpainted cover. I just went with one that had a good vtec solenoid and most of the others all had broken connectors on the solenoids or on the throttlebody the tps or map sensors where broken. Either way it was the first time go to a place like that being able to choose what engine I wanted. I was like pumpkin shopping for holloween for one to carve . I'd have to say if anyone in the midwest is looking for a nice shop with alot of engines to choose from and a nice clean facility. They even cleaned the engine right there and loaded it into the car too for us. Soko in Chicago gets a big from me and I'll go there next time I need another engine. The engine was only 325 and the tranny ran me 150. Only bad thing is tax in IL is 7.75% and those damn tolls! Living in WI in a city with a population of only 22k is quite a change from that. Pics will come tomorrow when it's light out and I get the engine and tranny out of the car.

Nothing really. Just the usual i/h/e and just some smaller bolt-ons. I've blown two engines so far boosting them so the wife say no to this one! lol. Though I've got two cars so the other is probably gonna get boost I believe SOKO's site is just SOKO.com. They have two locations in Chicago and the main warehouse in Cali. I got a hook up on the tranny so more likely your not gonna get one for that price and the chicago didn't have anymore LSD trannies.

THey don't list prices on the website really. You have to call and ask. Also I believe trannies run 300ish and if you say someone else got a lsd tranny for 150 he's gonna tell you it was just a core tranny but he gave me the discount. A really nice discount
