Neuspeed Strut Bars
I've got a Used Neuspeed front upper strut bar for an 88-91 Civic/CRX (also fits 90-93 Integras w/o ABS). It's black and is in good condition. I'm asking $60 obo for this bar. SOLD
I've also got the same bar but brand new, unopened still in the box. The bar retails for about $120, but I'm asking $80 for it. SOLD
Both items are local pick-up in Southern Cali, OC/LA area only please. I currently have an 04 civic (damn the suspension design change) and am always looking for parts so I'd be interested in any similar value trades that anyone might have. Thanks for looking.

The Neuspeed bar is a "Twin tube, solid mount design." This means that bar is one solid piece, but since they use steel tubing, it's hollow. Having the bar hollow makes the bar significantly lighter. The reason it's referred to as a solid bar is because it is all one piece. Most other manufacturers' bars consist of two brackets which the bar is then mounted on to. The two bracket design isn't as effective because the bar still allows flexing where it bolts to the brackets. That is the reason most cars that come stock with a strut bar use a one-piece design. The one-piece Neuspeed design doesn't allow any flexing because it is one solid bar, not using any brackets. Hope that helps explain it.
I had that bar in my 91 si, and it was really good. You're right, it isn't as strong as one solid piece, but it is stronger than most. The reason it's still stronger than the bars that have the single bolt mount on each end is because Neuspeed uses two bolt at each end. This reduces flexing because even if one mounting point begins to flex it will still be held at the other. At first I expected some flexing when I put it in my car, but it stiffened up the rear a lot. Overall, it's a great piece.
mr leets im bumping this up because i would love to know why the bar you sold me doesnt even come close to fitting on my ride you said this was the one for the da and its way to bib wana help me understand??
