I noticed that my front and rear red emblem looks a little different when I got the R back from the shop. I'm guessing maybe they got overspray on the OEM emblems and had to replace them, but they don't look quite like the originals. The red doesn't look deep enough. Can someone please post a closeup pic of a genuine red emblem, and maybe a pic of a fake "A" emblem just for comparison. Thanks.

 

Real is dark red, and fake are bright red. noticable difference.

Some fools may have swiped your emblems in the shops lot and the owners may have been trying to help you out.

I'm glad I don't have a type R becuase this guy I used to work with couldn't keep the red A on his car.

 

I have one of the fake ones sitting here, the Acura logo is different. Not as balanced and looks a lot lighter than the real one.

 

I remember my old ones would reflect light and some metallic in the red paint would show on the emblem. Do the fake ones do that too? Or are they just a flat painted red. I'm thinking some ******** did rip off my real emblems, and the bodyshop owners replaced them with new ones, but didn't say anything to me.

 

At least you didn't get some new gouge marks from the hamfisted theif using a screwdriver to steal your emblems.

 

That's a particularly fake-looking fake badge. Some others aren't as obvious, but you should still be able to tell OEM from aftermarket.

Garbage.

 

Red emblems are just trouble. After owning my car for 3 weeks they stole my
emblems, and scratched the paint in the process. I get them replaced all damage
fixed less than a week later gone again with new scratches. I told the shop to fill the holes and paint over it. I like the look of the car with no emblems.
