Idle problems when re-fueling
This only happens when I re-fuel. It does not matter if I fill it up or just throw in $5. After I re-fuel my car will not start without giving alot of gas then for about 2 minutes after it will not idle. Its a pain in the *** to rev up my engine in gas stations due to my loud exhaust. has anyone encountered this problem before? I have had my fuel system scanned both by acura and honda dealerships. And also it is not the gas cap trust me I have checked that too. Someone out there please help me out. Thanks

that could be the problem make sure your car dosnt require the "high-test" .
other than that i dont know what your problem is.. good luck and godspeed.

I run 93 octane. My set up is a 2000 itr, mods are dc headers, magnaflow cat, full apexi exhaust, aem cold air intake, shunk2 intake manifold, aem pulleys. Thats all i have done to my motor so far. I shut my car off when re fueling. The only time my car has trouble idleing is when i refuel. thats the only thime this problem comes up.

I think it's something with the EVAP control. It has something to do with the fuel vapor in the tank. Do you have the same problem when you open the gas cap and close it again without refueling?

This is what the problem is, we had idleing problems for a few months with our LS/vtec build. It ended up being the line running from the back of the intake manifold into the evap. canister below the battery....it was causing a vacuum leak to the atmosphere through the canister. we plugged it and voila ...perfect idle, no more issues when refueling.
Do you still have all of your evap. system components connected on ur car?

It wont appear to be a leak but since it is vented through the canister to the atmosphere it could possibly be causing a vacuum leak similar to our car.....
Check the EVAP purge valve. If it's open constantly, the engine will suck fuel vapor and air into the intake. This will cause bad starting and bad idle.
