I learned all about an engine in high school auto shop, I assembled my first engine/car when I was your age, with help of course...You have an auto class? This is your best bet and the roots of your hobby, I dont know how so many people have a "car" as a hobby, yet they dont have a clue on how to work on it..they have to pay someone to build theyre hobby= lame...your on the right track, wanting to learn
Good luck..
