Default ls block with ctr pistons

would a stock 2001 type r motor benefit from switchin out to an ls block with ctr pistons?

Using an LS crank or an ITR crank?
Would an LS benefit from CTR pistons ... yes.

iirc ... an LS displaces ~1835 cc and an ITR 1795 or so.
Basicly, I see your question as though you'd be asking about an "LS-VTEC".
