I am looking at attacking the suspension and brakes of my new Project car. I have a friend who has an EG with ITR calipers and Prelude rotors up front, they fill the wheel completely but want to know if they can be run on the 90 Civic Si? I am thinking this is a good alternative to using a big brake kit and it's all OEM which I am trying to go with this car. If anyone has tried this please let me know if what you changed or if it worked out fine. I am wondering if the front knuckles need to be changed. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance
That is right. The ITR calipers bolt up on the 90-91 ex knuckles. I dont know about the 90-93 tegs but I think they are the same. Also ITR calipers are the same as 94 accord wagon calipers.

Do you mean front steering knuckles or front hubs? I am a little confused on this, and am having a hard time finding new parts, I want to buy new ones not used ones so if someone can help me out on what I need and where to get them from new I would appreciate it. I already know where I am getting the rotors calipers pads and such.
P.S. one final question, which stainless brake line kit would I buy, is the lines for the 88-91 Civic the right ones or do I need different ones because of the larger caliper?
Thanks in advance.

i doubt u will find new knuckles....however i believe u just need the steering knuckle/hub assembly..i think u could probally use the da one to...it is very similar to the ex....not sure about the brake line kit though
You doing the conversion for bling factor or do you believe you seriously need those brakes? If you are not burning up your brakes on a road course you could spend your money somewhere else unless you simply want the "big brake" look. I am running STOCK brakes on my CRX (well the rears are converted to discs) but duct the crap out of them. Even with hitting a little under 140mph each lap and braking significantly down to (guessing 50mph) into turn 10a at Road Atlanta I have not boiled my brake fluid or had my brake go away. Upgrade your pads, duct your rotors, and put good brake fluid in. I am going to buy temp paint and some temp stickers this season to see what temps I am getting on my rotors and my calipers. Until I see some very high temps, I am staying with stock. Bigger is more rotational weight whic means slower acceleration and affects your dynamic suspension movement.

if you convert to 10.2 brakes (or anything that bolts to them) , use the ex knuckles. the da knuckles will bolt up, but the geometry is off.
check out http://www.fastbrakes.com
but the earlier post is right, w/ good pads n fluid, you prolly don't need anything else.

yes, they bolt up, like i said, and you can drive around no problem.
and yes, your geometry i off...
the da knuckles are taller. you can get the camber where you want it with various fixes, but the camber curve will remain more agressive- giving you more negative camber at full compression and more positive camber at full droop.
the ex knuckles are a better solution.

my camber was excatly the same as it was after i did the da brakes....they are fine as long as you get an alignment afterwards...and yes the ex knuckles are a better solution but they are also way harder to find...

It is partially bling factor, but I want to have an overall strong car in many aspects, but I only want to use OEM parts. I am gonna use regular autozone rotors, and I am looking at either using Carbotech Bobcats, or Cobalt Friction pads, I know pads make the difference, I already have good brakes on my GSR. I want to have a solid combination. I believe in OEM parts and their great build. Hence the reason I am gonna use all OEM parts as much as possible. I will be using Motul DOT 4 fluid.
Good luck trying to find 90-91 civic EX knuckles!!!! I have not seen an ex civic 90-91 come in our yard in like 2 years!!!!! Put your money towards something else! We just got 2 accord wagons THO! hint hint....
