Default JDM 1 Piece Headlights Retro-fitted!! (56K You'll Be Okay)

Well after some research I finally got them all put together. I choose BMW 3 series (e46) projector/ballast/bulb/and ignitor. They are bi-xenon (high and low beam). I must say it was a bitch fitting them into the housing but IMO it was well worth it. Comments always welcome

Ya we need night pics! Now you can see the light as it was meant to be seen. <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by stubh22a4 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">looks good any night pictures with the lights on</TD></TR></TABLE>

haha nice job fitting those big'ol projectors in there, major sexy. If I could do it over I'd use them instead of Audi A4's... But I'd sure miss that super blue cut off.

Lude's deserve HID projectors.

here is a pic of the cutoff line. On of my ignitors maybe not sure what this is but here is a pic. I narrowed the problem down to this. Maybe someone can help me out. So the cutoff is only for the drivers side.

Gotta Love the JDM fogs

Anyhow yea this is my problem on the passenger side so I dont know if I have to get a whole nother ballast or if I can just find one of these but Im not sure what the correct terminology is for it.

that problem (the orange flare in the middle) is called a "hot spot."
It very much could be just that your HID bulb is off by a little bit in it's placement. If at all possible see if the HID is not crooked or that it's in all the way.

I got them for 315 off ebay. They are BMW E46 or 3 series projectors, ballast, etc. I didnt use a shroud but instead they came with BMW hat type things that you can see its the ring around the projetor lense. I used that instead. Kind of hard to explain. I think I have some pictures and im working on a writeup.

Sweet, that would be great to get a write up soon, I'm getting some JDM one-pieces in 5 days and I would rather go ahead and do a retro-fit while they are out. Did you have prior experience before doing this? Anyone know where I can find a write up to help me understand the whole HID concept and get an idea how to do a retro-fit job?
