What should the values be for a compression test of a 93 JDM H22A series motor? (Non-S type)

I've got:

#1 255

#2 258

#3 260

#4 255

I assume these are good numbers?

those are very good numbers, I thought I had high numbers, on my JDM h22a, they were about 235-240 across.

Curiously, does anyone know what the service manual for the JDM H22A (non-s type) indicates the values should be?

 

From what I have read it indicates they should be in the 180-190 range, service at 135 range. I too posted similar results to you, everything was 240+ with one maxing out at 252. Thanks for posting, makes me feel good about mine too

 

Hey people i was very excited with my 215 psi +/- 3% in all cylinders. But with what u are saying im not so good? any opinions?.

I have a JDM H22A in my 98, not an H22A4 that the car originally came with.

That's why I posted the number and am looking for what the Japanese H22A series (non S-Type) should be.

The H22A4 is spec'ed at 180PSI, and most people see around 215-225 with the USDM motors.

I'm looking for the numbers for a 93 JDM non-S type H22A series motor.

I tested mine and got 270 psi for all four cylinder. 92 Jdm h22a lsd.

Those numbers I gave probably would have been a little better if I cranked a little more... but I didn't want to over do it.

I wonder what you'd see if you have 11:1 like the Type-S? 290? 300?

 

my JDM motor pulled 260 all across I thought that was mad high, I was wondering what the type S values are as well
