Searched but found nothing. Will the 2004 front bumper cover fit on my 2001?

 

yes sir it does...i have the 04 bumper on my 01....u do have to mod othe 01 bumper bar...or you can buy the 04 bumper bar like i did

Because the shape of the 2004 bumper is slightly different your 2000-2003 splash shields will have to be modified to fit. This kit eliminates that problem. Just bolt these new pieces in place and you are ready to go.

This bumper is a direct bolt on for your 00-03 car. The bumper comes in primer ready for paint. To complete the installation you should also purchase the grille, and tow hook cover. The front splash shields are also needed if you don't want to modify your current splash shields

This part only weighs approximately 14.00 pounds but because of its size it ships by dimesional weight which is 90lbs.

actually my friend just did the conversion on his my01 and used the same spash shields. Im going over next weekend so he can show me how he did it using the same spash shields

 

Love the 04 front especially with the lip. Much more agressive.

how much was the reinforcement? or that bar ur talking about?

 

anyone know if the 04 front is more aerodynamical than the 00-03's?

 

i have an 04 front on my 02...all i did was get new splash guards, and the reinforcement bar.

you actually dont even need the 04 reinforcement, you can just shave the foam down and it will all fit up. it pays to buy it though and do everything right.

now the only debate is mugen lip or oem lip. have fun...

if you haven't gotten a lip.. go with the mugen.... it's better aerodynamically

i want the mugen, its just 600$. i was thinking about just getting a new front bumper all togethor. the OEM lip is too common IMO, and it takes away the lines of the 04 front.

im 90% sure im getting the mugen, i just wont be able to drive with it on everyday. my cars too low, i'll break it eventually lol...

i dont' think it is.... no change in any numbers that show a dramattic effect of the bumper being changed

i found #'s on 00-03 but not on 04 so hard to compare

 

well as for looks..

without lip ap1 wins
with lip ap2 wins...

 

i have ap1 with lip

 

yeah i know....but the ap2 looks better with the lip..

I thoguht you liked the Mugen splitter

 

i prefer ben's car w/ the oem lip rather than the mugen. but ya, ap2 imo owns ap1, but thats just me.
