Whats up, I have a 98 lude SI with manual trans It will not go into reverse at all but all the other gears work fine I changed the oil to synchro mesh took apart the center console to see if anything was blocking the shifter tried the norm first - neutral - reverse nothing works is there some kind of adjustment to the cable tranny to make it work or any body got any suggestions to try I just bought the car a month a go and can't afford the 1300 tranny now. before this there was never any problems going into reverse.

You have a 98 Prelude Si?

well my 98 Prelude Type SH did the same **** last year. I just took it to the dealer I bought it from and they fixed they said it would have costed 1800 to fix but good thing I didn't have to pay that much. Use the serach function, this topic has been covered a couple times already. https://honda-tech.com/zerosearch

you sure it doesn't go into reverse at all, or just sometimes?

Mine doesn't go in fully sometimes, I just have to pump the clutch a few times. And try again, and it goes in fine.

check where the shifter cables attach to the arm that goes into the tranny housing. my clutch hose got in the way and wouldn't allow me to shift into rreverse. i moved it out of the way and now it shifts perftect.

that happened to me before. not sure what gear it was... but some gear wasnt sliding in/out completely, causing it to get locked out of reverse. but youll have to take the tranny apart to find that out.
