Default The destruction, and reincarnation of Tbone's Cyl head version3.0 updated daily NO 56k RLZ style

UPDATE....since I bent the valves doing testing on Skunk2 cams for them and you guys here on h-tec, Skunk is GIVING me a FREE set of valves!!!
Big thanks goes out to Dave and Jeff at Skunk2 racing as well as DonF for pointing Skunk my way for the test..

Well as you all know I did a bunch of cam testing these past few weeks.
What you didnt know is that we bent valves again...3rd times a charm isnt it..lol

So this is the first time the head is off the motor since the very first cam test last year..The motor has approx 10,000 miles on it and about 300 dyno pulls..lol

I decided while I fix it I'll give a play by play pic loaded post that will be updatet evry few days..

The head was shipped to Brad at Rlz engineering for the new repair as well as extensive flow testing on the head with various intake manifolds and my itbs..

This is me

Dont be alarmed , its just carbon buildup

Dont let a good post go down the toilet talking smack.. Unless your personally involved with the situation... I havent had any problems and pay up front if needed.. The issue you speak of is just like a coin...it has 2 sides.

Also considereing that my head got there yesterday, I think the progress is going just fine.

brad did well over 100 heads last year, so that's like 1 head every 3 days if you're not counting holidays, weekends, **** like that.
he only had 2 or 3 incidents.

now he has program up and running for cnc'd heads so he's turn around time will be quick.

ppl really have no idea how busy brad is....
other head porters have other employees....or ONLY do head work. RLZ is comprised to 2 ppl...brad and howard. dave helps out sometimes too. Brad does ALL of hte porting work....and helps out Howard and teaches dave some stuff. he stays at the shop WELL after it's closed...just to work. He's one of the most dedicated workers i've seen..and by far the best porter i've seen

Wow.

Now I see why you need some valves. I got a new set sitting in front of me if need to be shipped asap.

Don't feel bad. Got the head back from RLZ, new bottem-end rebuild. Stock ITR cams, still waiting for those bad-*** Rocket cams, lol. But,,,,

Guess what?

I'm ******* still burning oil!!!!!

I hate this ****!!!!!

Not going to do the mag interview in daytona with a smoky motor.

Oh I dont consider bending valves an engine loss, its approx a 3 week break
The bottom end is perfect and wont be touched, just a new head gasket and away I go
