No, it is an Alfa-Romeo Junior Zagato produced from 1969-75

The designer of the 1st gen CRX owned one.

Old skool Alfa

It has been said many times that the CRX was heavily influenced by European sports car design. I see a lot of elements in the 2nd-gen CRX that were taken from the junior Zagato.

1971 Alfa Romeo 1300 Junior Zagato

Curb Weight 920 kg / 2028 lbs
Displacement 1290 cc / 78.7 cu in
Valvetrain DOHC
Power 66.4 kw / 89 bhp @ 6000 rpm
Torque Not Available

Length 3900 mm / 153.5 in
Width 1550 mm / 61.0 in
Power 66.4 kw / 89 bhp @ 6000 rpm Height 1280 mm / 50.4 in
Wheelbase 2250 mm / 88.6 in

Honda CRX

Wheelbase (in.) 90.6

CRX is wider, shorter and lower........and weight is pretty much identical (well CRX is a little lighter)

4 wheel discs, unlike a CRX.

Alfa made a 110 HP version of the 1290cc engine.

They also later on released a 1.6l version.

All DOHC.

Aluminum.
5-speeds.
