CRX B16 WONT RUN
I have a 90 dx crx with an sir1 complete changeover from hmotors with Hasport everything. We sent the harnesses to hasport to get them converted. they came back today and we got everything in and the ecu hooked up correctly to the directions. but the car will not start. It cranks and cranks but there is not spark, plenty of fuel but not heat to get it going. I am stumped as to what it could be. I checked and rechecked the wiring but still nothing. please help im in a time crunch and need some advice. Thanks guys.
have you tryed switching around the two white wires? also make sure you have all your grounds. there should be the valve cover, tranny and thermostat grounds.
Well i tried switching the 2 wires nothing. I checked my grounds. they are good.
How do i check the coil on an internal distributor(maybe a dumb question)? And here is what the ecu is doing. the light blinks and stays on for a couple seconds and then blinks 5 times. thanks for the help

Code 15 - Ignition Output Signal
Something is wrong with the referance voltage, the ECU is receiving from the igniter.
The only way to check this, is with a Volt Meter of some kind, or ocs-scope. The latter being the most accurate. Sooo, that means a trip to a shop, that has this kind of equip...
Most peeps just end-up replacing the dist.. However, you can DYI if you have the tools and manual...
If it is a wiring problem, my question is how did you mess it up since hasport did it ?

Alright, i messed with the ecu and found i had 3 pins out of place, i fixed them and it turned and i dont have the code now. But, only cylinder 2 was sparking. I took off the distributor cap and replaced the rotor, coil and cap. Still the same thing. I went to the wiring, turns out hasport wird the distributor wrong for the 3 cylinders that were not firing. I had to change the pins in the plug to the right spots. It started up then. Now im running code 8 and 9 and im not sure what they are. Also it is idleing at 2500 so if u guy could help me out with that it would be great. Im actualy kind of pissed at hasport right now though. I spent $ for them to wire the distributor wrong and give me a v-tec harness. I can change to mpfi myself and everything else is a snap. I shouldnt have wasted the money. But their mounts and linkages are nice
Thanks for the help guys, and watch urself if u work with hasport, im not the only one who has had a problem.
